Cycle and e-bike journeys through southern Brittany.
This second volume offers tailor-made trips accessible to a wide range of riders, from Pointe du Raz to Nantes and from Rennes to Belle-Île-en-Mer. Electric assistance opens cycle touring to less highly trained riders, whatever the terrain, for environmentally responsible travel close to nature.
Philippe Calas uses the network of cycle paths and greenways, both coastal and inland, complemented by carefully selected minor roads. These pleasant, safe itineraries can be ridden as loops or as point-to-point trips with a return by train.
From a single day to two or three weeks, or longer to explore everything, the options suit different interests and available time. Stages of 50 to 60 km, or about four hours of leisurely riding, leave time for visits and activities en route or at the destination.
The guide includes downloadable GPS tracks, detailed route descriptions, maps, elevation profiles, photographs, and addresses for accommodation, bike repair and hire services.
