Cycling the Camino Francés from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Fisterra.

After the Le Puy Route in the first volume, Philippe Calas invites readers to cross the Pyrenees and follow one of the world's best-known trails. Over 918 km, the route reaches Santiago de Compostela and then Fisterra, about 100 km farther on, regarded in the Middle Ages as the end of the world.

Unlike the Le Puy Route in France, most of the Camino Francés is suitable for cycling close to the walkers and the historic path. The description mentions nearly 300,000 pilgrims a year, including about 10% cyclists, on the routes through Galicia and the northwestern Iberian Peninsula. Electric assistance opens the journey to more riders, joining the stream of pilgrims converging on Praza do Obradoiro at the foot of Santiago's cathedral.
