A world map where every country and continent appears at its true size: Africa is 14 times larger than Greenland, as it is in reality. This political wall map uses the Equal Earth projection, which the United Nations General Assembly encouraged on 4 September 2026 whenever the relative size of countries matters. It was designed by cartographer Tom Patterson, co-creator of the projection, and we print it to order in our Premium Edition collection, close to you: in Germany for Europe, in Canada for North America.
This edition is entirely in Dutch: country names, capitals, oceans, title and legend. Translated by Hans van der Maarel of the Dutch firm Red Geographics. It is made for readers in the Netherlands, Flanders and Suriname, and for anyone learning or teaching Dutch.
