There are 150 kilometres of waymarked routes in Hossa and more than 90 kilometres in Kylmlauoma. Along them are deserted huts, houses, sheds, cooking shelters and dozens of campfire sites. Camping services also extend beyond the national park and camping area. The Itäraja hiking route runs from the Kainuu Kairoka villages in Viana Karelia to the Värikallio rock paintings.
