Cycle and e-bike tours exploring Provence's heritage, nature and landscapes.

  • Nine routes lasting two to five days, with alternatives.
  • A combined 29 to 30 days and 1,500 km of travel.
  • A comprehensive guide with detailed maps, elevation profiles, precise descriptions, tourist information throughout the journeys and accommodation.

Exploring a region by bike is an environmentally responsible way to travel. Electric assistance opens cycle touring to more people, whatever the terrain. There is no need to be an experienced, highly trained cyclist to enjoy the places along the way at a leisurely pace, close to nature.

Explore the Provence of writers and painters, with mountains, calanques and distinctive towns in the footsteps of Pagnol, Daudet, Mistral and Cézanne. Discover its lagoons and the Camargue, home to flamingos, bulls and Camargue horses; its Gallo-Roman remains, from the Arles arena to the Pont du Gard; the Alpilles and hilltop villages rich in heritage; the Luberon's grand landscapes and lavender fields; Mont Ventoux, with cycling challenges in spectacular surroundings; and the Côtes du Rhône with its world-renowned wines.

Philippe Calas has devised nine mostly circular itineraries of two to five days, with many alternatives. The routes total at least 1,500 km, with individual trips ranging from about 100 km over a weekend to a little over 250 km over most of a week.

These original routes use greenways and small roads with as little traffic as possible. Some sections run on compacted surfaces or dirt tracks suitable for hybrid bikes and electrically assisted bicycles. Short stages of about 50 to 60 km, or four hours of leisurely cycling, leave time for visits and activities along the way or at each stop.
