1958 National Parks Inland Maps

This detailed map of the twelve most visited sites in the National Park System appeared in the May 1958 issue as one half of a two-map presentation on national parks. One of the parks featured on this map, Sequoia National Park, is home to the finest stands of redwood trees in California. The National Geographic Society and individual members have contributed $9,990,000 to help preserve these ancient trees for the American people.
