The Hadrian's Wall Path topographic map guide includes detailed descriptions of each section and information about landmarks encountered along the route.

All Great Treks maps are printed on waterproof, tear-resistant "Backcountry Tough" paper. A latitude/longitude grid assists GPS navigation.

Emperor Hadrian conceived the wall to demonstrate Rome's power and deter attacks on the Roman territory of Britannia. Building a wall 73 miles (118 kilometres) long, 5 metres (16 feet) high and 3 metres (10 feet) wide was an exceptional undertaking. In AD 122, around 15,000 soldiers were enlisted to begin constructing forts, turrets, bridges, milecastles and the connecting wall.

Hadrian's Wall is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 84-mile (135-kilometre) path from Bowness-on-Solway to Wallsend crosses wild, scenic English countryside and offers opportunities to learn about these historic sites.
