The Midtown section of Manhattan on a very detailed Red Maps street plan in a practical concertina format, showing each block with the names of the various shops, restaurants, hotels, cultural institutions and entertainment venues, etc.
The map covers Manhattan from the bottom of Central Park (59th Street) to 37th Street, and between Park Avenue and Eighth Avenue, with a separate panel extending coverage along Upper Madison Avenue farther north to East 79th Street.
Each block is divided into individual buildings and, where applicable, shows the names of shops, restaurants, hotels, etc., all colour-coded for easy identification.
The map also provides directions to important landmarks outside the area of this map, for example the Empire State Building or the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Subway stations and connections are very clearly shown.
On the reverse are thematic, colour-coded lists of different types of shops, hotels, restaurants and cafés, theatres and concert halls, museums, landmarks, etc.
