Section 5 of the TransAm route takes you through Yellowstone National Park, the jewel of the US national park system, and Grand Teton National Park.
Look for moose, bison, bears and wolves as you cycle beside the river between West Yellowstone and Madison Junction, and take time to explore the many different geyser basins on the way to Old Faithful.
On leaving the park, you cross the Continental Divide twice, then a third time outside the park at spectacular Togwotee Pass, 9,658 feet above sea level, just east of Grand Teton National Park. A spur to Jackson, Wyoming, is shown.
From the top of Togwotee Pass, the eastern slopes of the Rockies fall away ahead as you follow the Wind River through Dubois to Lander. After Lander, the route crosses the dry, windy Great Divide Basin and ends in Rawlins.
Printed on waterproof, tear-resistant material, the map sections fold neatly to fit the clear pocket of a handlebar bag.
