The Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) California North Map Pack includes two topographic map guides that cover the PCT as it traverses the tangled terrain of Northern California, from the Oregon border to the lava fields of Mount Lassen at the southern edge of the Cascade Range. The maps begin at the summit of Siskiyou, which defines the Oregon-California border, then pass through the Klamath Mountains, the jagged peaks of Castle Crags, the volcanic cones of Mount Shasta and Mount Lassen, and finally end at the northern edge of the Sierra Nevada at Sierra Buttes. The PCT stretches 2,650 miles from the Canadian border to the Mexican border, through Washington, Oregon, and California, ending in the south. The famous trail traverses some of the wildest and most beautiful landscapes in the western United States, including six national parks, 25 national forests, 48 wilderness areas, the volcanic Cascade Range in the Pacific Northwest, the snow-capped Sierra Nevada, and the Mojave region.
