The Mont Blanc massif is an outstanding playground for alpine skiing, freeride touring and ski touring. Mountain guide Philippe Batoux has selected 70 of its finest and most distinctive routes to reach summits and descend seemingly endless slopes and remarkable couloirs.

Easy access through the lift network contributes to the massif's reputation, enabling more skiing and a season lasting later than elsewhere. Some exceptional routes can be reached by gravity from the lifts, a unique feature. Others require a shorter or longer ascent on skins to reach the start of the descent.

Ascending Mont Blanc on skis offers the pleasure of clipping in on the Roof of Europe and finishing in Chamonix, 3,700 metres below, after one of the world's longest descents.
