A very well-illustrated guide to discovering Morocco in a camper van or any other vehicle.

Publisher's Description:

Morocco is a change of scenery and wonder on our doorstep. A welcoming country, with varied landscapes, always very French-speaking, sometimes timeless, so close and so different from us... Ideal for discovery as a couple, with family, with friends. Every year, thousands of tourists travel to this wonderful country and, for the most part, visit it without resorting to traditional travel organization structures, with their own vehicle. This guide to Morocco is aimed at them, offering them all a range of extraordinary places and road circuits , to make what Jacques Gandini calls DPMs, “Devourers of Magnificent Countries” or even “Devourers of Moroccan Landscapes”. Although its title seems to only be aimed at motorhome owners, Emile Verhooste's guide is aimed at all motorists who want to discover an off-the-beaten-track, authentic and welcoming Morocco.

Emile Verhooste, already author of the Guide to Campings in Morocco , reissued every year since 2001 by Extrem'Sud, has drawn on its long experience in the field in writing this practical guide, trying to be as clear and simple as possible so that its readers can discover and choose the places, itineraries and sites best suited to their personal tastes. Its aim is not to publish another tourist guide, but simply to guide visitors to this country with the perspective of a curious and interested motorist, concerned about the environment and the respect due to the populations who will welcome them so well.

This fourth edition has been completely revised and, above all, updated. because, in just a few years, enormous changes have taken place: the opening of new roads, access to regions that were once almost impossible... and the author has discovered some fabulous ones. He has visited unimaginable numbers of new sites of great beauty! Emile Verhooste thus pursues his desire to bear witness to his passion for this deep and authentic Morocco.

It includes more than 130 circuits, 90 of which are entirely new ; the others have been revised, corrected and enhanced with variations to make the most of the new routes. 70 maps are included in the guide.

To take into account the now almost systematic use of a second vehicle (buggy, quad, scooter, motorbike, etc.), Emile Verhooste has added a certain number of "small circuits" which mostly use tracks or roads that are difficult to use in a camper van. 4 hiking trails are also proposed for our walking friends. He has covered all the proposed circuits in a 7.40 m long camper van, and is therefore able to assess their feasibility, with or without reservations.

An essential work, not only for campervan enthusiasts, but also for all those who wish to visit this magnificent country in a different way, and by their own means.

cordialement.
