The Ossau, Aspe, and Barétous valleys are the three Béarn valleys that cut through the Pyrenean mountain range between Bigorre and the Basque Country. They connect with Aragon at the Pourtalet and Somport passes, and with Haute-Navarre at the Pierre-Saint-Martin pass. This is a region of the Pyrenees that combines many tourist attractions: high peaks, caving, canyoning, fishing in mountain lakes, thermal baths, ski resorts, etc. The Pyrenees National Park extends its territory over the high valleys of Ossau and Aspe.
