Southeast of Troyes, in the Aube department, the Côte des Bar corresponds to the Barrois Champagne wine region. It constitutes the southern part of the Champagne vineyard and extends in an arc from Bar-sur-Seine in the west to Bar-sur-Aube in the east. The Côte des Bar, bar meaning summit in Celtic, takes its name from its environment: steep reliefs carved out by the various streams and rivers that crisscross the landscape and run along the Langres plateau. 24 hikes through the landscapes of the Côte des Bar alternating between forests, hillsides and wine-growing areas.
