Travelling the whole country, in its greatest length, from Bruges to Arlon, that’s a very tempting programme for a hiker!
This topo-guide presents the first section of the Walloon route of this journey: from the Pays des Collines to the banks of the Meuse.
There are rolling and green countrysides, immense fields, woods and forests, lively streams and majestic rivers. The hiker also crosses some lively towns, with dazzling or secret treasures; and above all many villages with discreet charms: they reveal houses, churches, farms and old castles, but also vestiges of industries that have now disappeared...
As a bonus, thanks to a connection to the GR 122 in France, lovers of unspoiled nature will certainly find what they are looking for by exploring the Pays des Honnelles and the Haut-Pays Natural Park.
A second link allows you to join the GR 125 at the edge of the largest of the Eau d'Heure lakes, that of Plate Taille.
