Cartovia Shipping: Rates, Delivery Times, and Returns

1. Shipping

Cartovia / La Compagnie des Cartes commits to preparing and handing over your products to the carrier within two business days following your order.

Shipping costs include packaging, handling, and postage fees.

The price schedule for products shipped from France is as follows (all prices are incl. VAT)* :

2. Free Returns / Refunds

The procedure is simple: all requests can be made via our contact form.

⏱️ Withdrawal Period (European Union)

In accordance with European consumer law, you have a legal period of 14 calendar days from the receipt of your order to notify us of your decision to withdraw, without having to justify a reason.

👉 At Cartovia, we extend this period to 30 days, for all orders, worldwide.

Once your return request is notified, you have an additional 14 days to return the items to us, in accordance with European regulations.

🇫🇷 Metropolitan France — free returns within 30 days

Products must be returned new, unused, in perfect condition and in their original packaging.

With the exception of bulky items (wall maps, relief maps, globes), return costs are covered by Cartovia, either:

• via a prepaid return label, or
• by reimbursement of return costs via SEPA transfer.

Practical details (return address, instructions) will be communicated by email within 48 hours.

Once the return is received and checked in our warehouse, the refund is made within 48 business hours, and at the latest within a legal period of 14 days after notification of your withdrawal.

📌 Initial shipping costs (standard delivery) are also refunded, in accordance with European regulations.

🇪🇺 Europe (excluding Metropolitan France) — returns accepted within 30 days

Returns are accepted within 30 days from the receipt of the order, under the same conditions as for Metropolitan France.

👉 Return costs from a European country are the customer's responsibility, in accordance with European law.

Once the return is received and checked in our warehouse, the refund is made within 48 business hours, and at the latest within a legal period of 14 days after notification of your withdrawal.

📌 Initial shipping costs (standard delivery) are also refunded, in accordance with European regulations.

🌍 Outside Europe — returns accepted within 30 days

Returns are also accepted within 30 days from the receipt of the order, provided that the products are:

• new,
• unused,
• in perfect condition,
• in their original packaging.

👉 Return costs from a country outside Europe are the customer's responsibility, including any potential customs duties, taxes, or re-importation costs.

The refund is made after receipt and inspection of the items.

❗ Legal Exceptions

In accordance with Article L221-28 of the Consumer Code (and European Directive 2011/83/EU), the right of withdrawal does not apply to:

• personalized or custom-made products
• products made on demand (print-on-demand).

These products can therefore neither be returned nor refunded, except in the event of a defect or error on our part.

💳 Refund Methods

Refunds are made via the original payment method, unless expressly agreed otherwise by the customer.

No additional fees will be applied during the refund.
